July 27, 2015- The Post reports, “A woman threw herself overboard from a Staten Island Ferry boat into New York Harbor as the craft was docking in Manhattan on Sunday, officials said. The 48-year-old woman was spotted in the water a few feet away from the ferry as it was pulling into the Whitehall Terminal at around 12:10 p.m., authorities said. Thew crew of a Coast Guard escort boat alongside the ferry was able to quickly throw the woman a board to latch onto and pull her out of the water, according to a Coast Guard spokesman.”
