Rep. Jerry Nadler is our congressman. He is a staunch member of the Trump resistance and has a large portion of his voting base that is ultra-liberal. These are the irrational, hysterical, loons who want to impeach President Trump despite having no reason to do so.
Watch Katy Tur of NBC, the main person for NBC who covered Trump during the campaign and received boos from the crowds for 12-months, try to encourage Nadler to impeach Trump. Rep. Nadler smartly explains why that would be a major mistake leading to 20-years of Republican rule and a second term for Trump.
Perhaps the best move for President Trump and the GOP would be to let a Democrat House impeach him in 2018 and rally his base for 2020 and beyond.
“The charge of high crimes and misdemeanors covers allegations of misconduct peculiar to officials, such as perjury of oath, abuse of authority, bribery, intimidation, misuse of assets, failure to supervise, dereliction of duty, unbecoming conduct, and refusal to obey a lawful order.” Looks like we are getting pretty close to that faithful day.
You are the far left that liberal Nadler is trying to reign in because what you want would be a gold mine for Republicans. It would be a symbolic House move, only of they win the House, and then backfire hugely.
Bring it on.
1. Believing that a president is committing high crimes and misdemeanors does not make someone a liberal on the far left. 2. The democratic progressive wing strategy to not invoke impeachment makes political sense for them at this time.
But I’ll say this. It sure looks like his actions are putting him squarely on the road to impeachment.
