This is one of countless videos from England showing African refugees trying to break into a house. Home invasions are very common now over in Europe.
Meanwhile, I have also seen videos from an Instagram account by a door-to-door salesman trying to sell solar roof panels. They are very aggressive. On more than one occasion, a homeowner had to pull a gun. When they do, the salesman runs.
It made me realize something. In a country where homeowners very well could have a gun inside, it makes home invasion far less likely. Just the knowledge that there could be a gun inside is a deterrent.
Guns are also is a deterrent to tyrannical police. In the UK right now, we see daily videos of British-Gestapo entering homes and arresting children for posting something on social media. They would not do that in the United States because people would shoot back.
Look at states where use of guns in home defense are prohibited by local prosecutors. In Los Angeles and San Francisco, if someone tries to use a gun against thugs actually breaking into their house, the homeowner, not the criminal, will be prosecuted. That is why we have organized gangs from Venezuela breaking into Beverly Hills houses. They know that homeowners cannot do anything.
This is why we have the Second Amendment. An armed population is a deterrence to tyranny. All of the other provisions of the Constitution are just words on paper without the Second Amendment.
Back in the 1950s, when the CIA was legitimately trying to stop communism, before they became the bad guys, there was a global effort to stop the spread of communism. Now, we face the same problem. Our government needs to promote gun rights in Australia and Europe.
