Judge Patti Saris issued an administrative stay keeping the protections in place. DHS attorney James Percival called it “open defiance of the Supreme Court, plain and simple.” After the SCOTUS 6-3 ruling in Mullin v. Doe, the administration says she has zero authority to do this. This is headed straight back to the Supreme Court on an emergency basis.
