3 Port St. Lucie police officers placed on leave during political campaign signage investigation

Holy cow. I helped to cause this suspension of three top cops related to use of Flock footage against a political opponent.

First, I am the one who spotted the legal importance of this issue when mayoral candidate Steve Giordano sent his cell phone video to me. I then advised him to make certain points during a recent city council meeting. He stated that the city used Flock footage to retaliate against a political opponent. The TV covered it.

But more importantly, I recently sent the City of Port St. Lucie a demand letter to end the Flock cameras, along with the draft of my federal complaint. That freaked them out because the city started to call people who had pending records requests.

Steve the candidate deserves great credit, of course. I am not trying to steal his thunder.

By the way, he will almost certainly win the election unless they rig it. Stay tuned.

Steve is a complete outsider. He literally has no campaign funds whatsoever. He has one dedicated helper. A few other people like me are helping him for free.

Aside: new ducklings today
