A sign of the bad economy is when sex workers drug and sedate Johns
A South Florida woman named Lynda Mae Crouse was recently caught after meeting a man at a club, going to his house, and surreptitiously slipping sedatives into his drink. When he passed out, she stole his $98,400 Rolex. Police say she has done this to at least four other men.
Meanwhile, a jury in New Orleans just found a woman guilty in the death of TV sports anchor Adan Manzano. He was visiting the city for the Super Bowl when a group targeted him on Bourbon Street, put prescription medication in his drink to incapacitate and rob him, and left him to die in his hotel room.
This is not a new thing. It is a dangerous trend that has been going on in nightlife spots for many years. Years ago, after the 2008 crash, a famous crew of New York City strippers got arrested for doing the exact same thing: incapacitating wealthy men with controlled substances to steal hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Even the rapper Cardi B famously admitted that she used to drug and rob men back when she worked as a stripper. Whether it is for a luxury watch or a bank account, going out to bars has turned into a high-stakes scenario for unsuspecting targets.
