Our first ride on the Downtown Connection bus

We tried out the Downtown Connection bus for the first time, taking it from Battery Park to Water Street. It was clean, free of charge, and quite convenient, with buses at a stop every ten minutes. The bus we rode on was a temporary loaner while the regular one was being repaired, and it was a bumpy ride, as you can see in the video.

The Downtown Connection buses are funded by LMDC money (that is likely going to be liquidated as an entity), which, in turn, pays for the Downtown Alliance. The Battery Park City Authority also contributes to the buses, paying $632,000 to the cause in the most recent contract.
