RFH-LogoMay 4, 2014- A PS 276 asked us to post a story about a charity event they are organizing. Click here for their website, which explains:

2014 Battery Park City School’s RUN FOR HOPE

This year, the Battery Park City School’s National Junior Honor Society hosts the Run For Hope to benefit the Gilda’s Club of New York City (https://www.gildasclubnyc.org/). With the shared mission of the NJHS and Gilda’s Club to create and support community, our partnership is born out of a common cause.

In the past, we have run for ourselves. But now, we run for more. Now we run for Gilda’s Club. Now we run for New York, and against cancer. And as we cross the finish line, we hear the cheers. The cheers for us, the cheers for New York. And the cheers for the lives, the lives we have saved.
If you are interested in participating in this year’s Run For Hope, please fill out the form below. Thank you for your time and consideration. See you out there!

  1. Tom says:

This is a really fun race for those who run. I ran it last year and they gave me a hand made medal for 3rd place that I still have hanging on my wall.

If you plan on running it be on alert since the esplanade isn’t closed off to the public during the race.

  2. Looks like a fun race for a great cause. Hope it was successful!
