We learned something interesting today during our tour of the WTC. When the boondoggle of a PATH station is fully opened, it will connect all the way east to the Fulton Street subway station. The tentacles of that extend far Eastward over to FiDi and the Seaport.
Therefore, that means that one will be able to enter Brookfield Place by the marina in Battery Park, go through the tunnel under the West Side Highway, into the PATH station, through the Oculus, and end up in the Fulton subway complex, and all without ever going outside.
This will be very convenient for the tens of thousands of commuters who suffer the MTA system in the dead of winter.
