Squirrel population in BPC parks dwindles

Squirrel front 1September 2, 2016- DowntownExpress reports that some believe the squirrel population in our parks has declined. However, the poorly written article fails to point blame whatsoever to the fact that the BPC Parks Conservancy has been illegally closed down by the BPCA, senior horticulturists fired and not replaced, and the parks have been allowed to turn into weed beds. Jee, maybe that has something to do with it?

    I’ve wondered if the squirrels go after the bait in the rat traps that are placed around the neighborhood? City squirrels are known for eating almost anything–are they attracted to whatever bait is used in those ubiquitous black traps?
