I recently wrote a little essay about how I discovered, or re-discovered rather, the importance of hand-written to-do lists. I have been using my hand-written lists for a few weeks now.
I am having to learn how to hand write again. I had forgotten how to make certain cursive words. My handwriting is just atrocious. I have always had bad handwriting because my brain thinks faster than my hand can move. It is almost as if I suffered a stroke and am having to undergo occupational therapy to learn how to write again.
Note, this memo was transcribed from oral dictation into my smart phone. No handwriting or even typing was involved. I have also noticed that my typing skills are slightly deteriorated. The vast majority of what I write now comes from talking into my Apple iPhone.
I estimate that within just 20-years it will be hard to find anyone who can hand write or even type.
This is why I like golf. It is the only thing I do that keeps me connected with reality. I don’t do anything else with my hands. When I get a house soon, I hope to have a little farm where I can start using my hands again.
I am living in one of these god-awful Mark Zuckerberg dystopian Metaverse VR world now. Nothing I do is real. All of my writing is electronic website content and not on paper. Stocks I trade are all electronic.
As a society, we need to start emphasizing outdoor sports, arts and crafts, and anything that really applies to the world. It has only been about 10-years since the iPhone took off. It has dramatically changed the world for the worst. We need to put the breaks on and reassess the direction we are heading.

Absolutely brilliant and right to the point. Like many people I spend a large percentage of my day sending emails in circles as part of “business”.However my wife and I bought a small ranch and I love going out and working with my hands whether it’s cutting down trees or repainting the house because it’s real, it’s tangible, it’s measurable, it’s visible.
