RIP Jimmy Buffett, my dear friend and environmental ally of 40 years, including serving as a founding Board member of Mobile Baykeeper. Jimmy was a born waterman who channeled his childhood obsession with the ocean into the brilliant maritime ballads that spanned the seven seas and fueled his successful musical career. Buffett’s maritime passions inspired the Parrothead movement, an ideology that begins with a love for our waterways and respect for each other.
