Butterflies of Lake Greer

Ass more flowers bloom into the Spring, I might see more butterflies. So, I am starting this section now. The first one I saw was a White Peacock.

August 6, 2024- White Peacock

Monarch (Danaus plexippus)

August 8, 2024- It is butterfly season. I saw my second species today: the Monarch.

August 26, 2024- I put a chrysalis in a jar and it hatched. It was a white peacock (above)

August  27, 2024- Peak season

September 4, 2024- Arogos Skipper (Atrytone arogos)

October 25, 2024- Caterpillars for White Peacock

November 20, 2024- Tersa sphinx moth: These are active at night feeding on flowers that bloom at night.
