The controversial Neighborhood Improvement District (NID) tax being pushed upon residents who live along the West Side Highway, from the Battery Park City border all the way north to 59th street, was front and center at the Tribeca CB1 board meeting tonight. The opposition to the tax has grown many fold since the joint session of the CB1 last month, and is more organized. They brought very sophisticated handouts that would rival a Goldman Sachs investment banking pitchbook.
