Like that Carl Sagan movie Contact, where humans make contact with aliens, I made contact with my reptile neighbors I see every day. In the evening, they come out to the concrete and stand still, with heads high. I wondered why.
So, I laid down by one. It approached me rapidly. I thought it was greeting me. Instead, it ate a crawling insect. So, they are scouting out crawling tiny little bugs with their heads high.
