Certain words or phrases make the person uttering them immediately seem like a moron. For examples, “ain’t” or double negatives are two common ones.
When I hear a person on TV say, “They contracted COVID-19”, I literally view them as a Walmart Despicable, as Hillary coined it. Ironically, it is the bubble-dwelling elite in media, the people who look down upon Walmart shoppers, who are the idiots. The joke is on them.
Even if you accept the term COVID-19 at all (and you should not because it was propaganda created by the W.H.O. to deflect from the China origin), the term applies to the overall constellation of symptoms, like AIDS. COVID-19 is not a virus. Yet all of the geniuses on TV conflate the SARS-CoV-2 virus with COVID-19. It would be like conflating AIDS with HIV.
I invented a new term “Cov-Idiots-20” to refer to all of the morons who fell for this scamdemic.
