At the Christmas Tree lighting last night, we learned something funny. The New York City Park Enforcement Patrol (PEP) have long used an Elmo suit to interact with children during community events such as the block party. Well, in the wake of the real-life Elmo actor getting into trouble for allegedly having inappropriate sexual encounters, the PEP have literally placed their Elmo in the closet.
Disclaimer: the PEP have repeatedly tried to no avail to snap photos of this reporter with their Elmo to post internally for humorous purposes.
