Broadshett ad for doorman guide

February 14, 2012

The local advertising flier The Broadsheet self proclaims that it’s other advertising flier, The Doorman’s Guide, is the most used reference for local shops. We find this unbelievable. Even before the Internet, Seemless Web, Yelp, BatteryPark.TV, etc, we knew of no one to ever use this old fashioned printed booklet that clutters your apartment building. The photo, above, is of a well worn booklet. Perhaps it was used as a fly swatter by Gateway Plaza doormen, or pressed into window frame cracks to seal the leaks?

Broadsheet fails to report on Gateway Plaza windows problems

The Broadsheet still spinning for the BPCA hand that feeds it

Broadsheet, absent throughout Hurricane Sandy, posts self-congratulatory letter

    I never look at it

I just toss it in recycle like everyone else in my building. The week they are delivered, the recycle bin in the mail-room of our building is overloaded with them. It is such a shame that resources are used for something that no one even looks at.
