Buses blocked on Vesey by town carsMarch 12, 2014- Letter to Editor by David Feldman

The problems (that BP.TV wrote about) persist. A dispatcher, wearing a bright orange vest is positioned just past the bus stop on Vesey Street. His job is to guide vehicles, and he guides them right into the bus stop.

The police precinct has been told about this, but needs to hear from everyone who is impacted (especially the elderly and the disabled).

I also suggest contacting the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, an appropriate place for ADEA complaints, Councilwoman Chin, the Mayor’s Office, and the Public Advocate’s Office.

  1. Editor says:

    To Mr. Feldman

Thank you for writing. That “dispatcher” is bogus and not an official dispatcher. The town cars pay him to look like the old Merrill Lynch line person. He is not authorized to do that.

  2. BPCResident says:

So, If I were to approach the squad car with lights blazing as they are in the photo, and ask them why they are not ticketing the town cars illegally parked at the bus stop, what would the response be?

Seriously, I pass by there every day and I want to find out why nothing is done.

    To BPCResident

They ignore you because they are not from the First precinct but rather are anti-terrorism. The best thing to do is attend the monthly First Precinct meetings on the last Thursday of the month and call them at (212) 334-0640

  4. BPCResident says:

ok, thanks very much. will call them tomorrow.
