The fruit vendors continue to be a magnet for various vehicles looking for an illegal place to park using the pretense of stopping to buy fruit. On this occasion, an MTA bus driver was sleeping in his bus with the engine idling, in front of the residential building on North End Avenue. The driver mocked the camera, then pulled up beside a commercial truck, also illegally parked, to encourage that driver to ignore the laws and stay put. After the commercial bottled water truck driver left, he purchased fruit from the vendor as a token of appreciation for allowing him to park in front of the fruit shack.
