The most powerful man in New York State politics, State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, has written a letter of support for Mike Fortenbaugh to continue to be the operator of the marina. The RFP applications are due next week. With this level of public scrutiny over the RFP process, the BPCA will be far less able to rig the outcome in favor of Brookfield, or any other friend of the governor’s, no matter how much money they throw at the Cuomo campaign.
