Buckeye Champs T shirtFebruary 1, 2015- By Steven E. Greer

January could have been the best month that I have had in a long time. It began with my college team, THE Ohio State Buckeyes, defeating the #1 team on the country, Alabama, in the Sugar Bowl. After that, they went on to crush Oregon and win the National Championship. It very well could have been the best team and season in college football history. For the first time in my lifetime, Ohio State received favorable national press.

Related to Ohio, House Speaker Boehner began the 2015 congress aided now by the new leader of the Senate, Mitch McConnell, from Kentucky. Both of whom are home boys.

Then, I learned that a defendant in a lawsuit which I filed as plaintiff, the Chairman of the New York State Liquor Authority, Dennis Rosen, was removed from his post by Governor Cuomo’s new team. My 140-page lawsuit did not make him look very good.

Then, I passed my annual physical exam with flying colors. If I die soon, it will be from a city bus, not a disease.

The world’s biggest financial institution renewed as a client of mine, for the fifth year in a row.

I started filming at a new location in Times Square. It went well.

Then, the world stopped turning when the most powerful man in the State of New York, State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, was arrested by the Feds and lost his position as Speaker. Most of the political stories that BatteryPark.TV has reported on over the last several years have related to Mr. Silver in some form or the other, either directly or indirectly. Just a few weeks earlier, for example, I was publicly questioning the ties between Sheldon Silver and CB1 members.

Nearby, local resident Mike Fortenbaugh lost his livelihood and was evicted from the North Cove Marina. That was bad. However, the silver lining was that the BPCA hubris awoke the masses with outrage. Perhaps it was the spark needed for long-sought BPCA reform.

After that, The hyped “blizzard” never hit New York, as I predicted. All I did was ignore the clowns on TV and look at the actual NASA satellite images.

I enjoyed one of the best meals of my life at Bâtard. At El Vez, Chef LaForce’s new cheeseburger was a delight too.

The Shake Shack (SHAK) IPO stock trading did what I predicted, showing that I am still a great analyst.

And lastly, capping off the month, BatteryPark.TV viewership broke records, again.
