The self deprecating goofy Ron Howard created another powerful serious film in Rush. This film is very much worth watching.
Rush is about Formula 1 racing, ostensibly, but it is much more interesting than that. It is really about all of Europe.
I was thinking about what makes Mr. Howard’s stuff so good. One pattern I spotted was good casting. Recent films that I have seen have been ruined by bad casting. In contrast, Howard’s films often shine with great performances, such as Tom Hanks’ in Apollo 13.
Without further ado, just rent it.
