The Hobbit was almost never made by Peter Jackson due to legal squabbles with the studios. It’s a shame that it was made, because this load of CGI crap should never have been created.

Peter Jackson was clearly bored with the Tolkien books and sold out during The Hobbit production. He turned The Hobbit into an action movie trilogy that it is was never intended to be.

The action scenes were utterly unbelievable, even for children. The side plots created by Jackson, never dreamed of by Tolkien, were silly and pandered to a female audience. Evangeline Lilly’s elvish character was stunningly bad.

Something snapped with Peter Jackson after he finished the nice Lord of the Rings ten years ago. How could he be so bad with this Hobbit series?

The Hobbit Part 2 is so bad, in fact, that it actually angers me. I love the books and think that they are far better than Harry Potter and others that came decades later.

If you are a parent, you should tell your kids to read the book and never watch this blasphemy.
