I am warming up to Pete Wells, the NYT food critic. He and I have seen eye to eye on many things, such as this growing problem of sky-high restaurant menu prices. In his latest review, he complained about a couple of restaurants for charging $32 for a Greek salad.

I say “Bravo” to Pete, and hope that more critics speak up.

What is the solution? Landlords need to realize that god restaurants are vital to their developments, and need to lower the rent. The 50 West skyscraper condo building is already doing this.
