August 27, 2013- We previously reported that BPCA executives convened staff meetings to discuss the media reports and rumors surrounding the abrupt resignation of former president Boutris. Sources told us that the meeting took place at the parks conservancy headquarters. We have since learned that a second meeting took place in the World Financial Center headquarters, and that the staff were threatened with their jobs if they spoke to the press.
Consistent with those reports, parks staff in the field are now literally running away from BatteryPark.TV, or accelerating their electric carts when this reporter is spotted.
A poet once wrote, “Why are you running away?”
