October 3, 2016- I still have Netflix, but I have nothing in my queue ready to watch. I haven’t had any for many months. I have some items sitting there but not ever being shipped because Netflix does not have the films.
I am not alone. This article explains why.
They have cut way back on spending to get rights to third party content stream. They are now spending half of expenses on original content like House of Cards.
This is a big mistake. People like me, who are not 100% cord cutters, will start to use Amazon instead. For example, Apocalypse Now is on Amazon but not Netflix.
