DOGE is an unofficial advisory group (named after Elon Musk’s cryptocurrency DOGE coin) of about three people (i.e., namely Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Marc Andreesen). These Tech Bro’s live in a delusional bubble thinking they are Masters of the Universe. The only person who could make any government cuts happen will be Donald Trump himself. Will he do it?
Well, so far, President Trump has backed down on fights over the Speaker of the House. He has allowed members of his cabinet to bring in lower level appointees who are terrible choices, such Dr. Neshiwat for Surgeon General (she is the sister-in-law of incoming National Security Advisor Mike Waltz). Those could either be bad omens or just good strategy ahead of his cabinet confirmation hearings.
Vivek Ramaswamy seems to be the brains of it all. He went to Yale Law School, but has not practiced law. Per this interview, he seems to be placing a lot of faith in Chief Justice Roberts of the Supreme Court and the Chevron decision. But that is quixotic!
Vivek is ignoring the extreme fecklessness of SCOTUS. After the flagrant election crimes in 2020, the Supreme Court denied a large group of states attorney general appealing the election. During the scamdemic, the Supreme Court refused to hear a case after case on vaccine and mask mandates. Last year, the Supreme Court refused to defend the First Amendment in Murthy v Missouri. They did it again recently by denying to hear Kennedy v. Biden.
I see no way that DOGE will get any support from the Supreme Court. Amy Coney Barrett is the key vote now and she is consistently on the side of the deep state.
I predict that President Trump will try to enact DOGE reforms. He is a man who does what he says he will do. However, the bureaucracy will ignore his executive orders and the Supreme Court will not back them up.
The deep state will also mount an offensive against these Tech Bros like they have never seen. Their delusional little bubble will be burst. There will be personal attacks on all of them.
DOGE would have a chance of working if Congress were purged of the Uniparty. That could happen in the next election. However, right now, 99% of Congress are controlled by the deep state or foreign lobbyists.
To make DOGE work, Trump needs to bring in the full power of the DoJ. Members of Congress, federal judges, and lobbyists who try to stop DOGE need to be prosecuted. They are all guilty of money laundering, insider trading, and dozens of other crimes. So far, I hear no talk about that.
Vivek and Elon are completely delusional in thinking that a mean tweet or civil litigation will win the day. DOGE needs Steven Greer to make it work.
