4 WTC gets first private sector tenant

WTC Tower 4 9-28-2013July 21, 2014- Crain’s reports that MediaMath has signed on to rent from 4 WTC, but the rent is free, essentially.  The article states, “The software company MediaMath has completed a lease to take 106,000 square feet at 4 World Trade Center in lower Manhattan. According to Silverstein Properties, the 72-story, 2.3 million-square-foot office tower’s landlord, the company will take the building’s 44th, 45th and 46th floors for 15 years.

In return for creating an anticipated 1,000 new jobs, the company received $5.8 million in federally funded grants that were awarded to it by the Economic Development Corp. and Empire State Development, the city and state’s economic development arms, respectively.
