The US, acting as mercenaries for Israel, just got its ass kicked by China and Iran. Now, Trump is flying to China instead of having China come to us? Is this some sort of TACO act where he’s going to pretend that we were not fighting China in Iran and he’s going to try to come away with some sort of trade deal?

Department of HHS  (CMS, FDA, CDC, NIH, etc.):

• Ohio’s Gov. Mike DeWine reduced Medicaid anti-fraud rules in ways that, critics say, seem designed to enable fraud. He says location tracking stops home healthcare fraud, but doesn’t say that he made GPS optional, with half turning it off for, uh, “privacy.”
• FDA Director Makary fired-
• Acting FDA Commissioner Kyle Diamantas previously was listed in court records as counsel for Planned Parenthood of Greater Orlando. He is temporarily filling the vacant position after Marty Makary’s resignation.

Crime:

• An illegal alien driving a semi-truck in Ohio, plowed into Dr. Lynnea and Luke Soposki and their 1 year old son, Logan. They did not survive. Following the truck driver’s arrest, the Ohio State Highway Patrol uncovered extensive identity fraud. Modou Ngom entered the U.S. illegally in the 90s and utilized several names and altered birth dates to obtain an Ohio CDL. He gained naturalized U.S. citizenship in the mid-2010s. The case was handed over to ICE last month.

Court Actions:

• The Supreme Court cleared a path for Alabama to use a new voting map for the midterm elections, in a victory for Republicans.

Money and the Economy:

• The U.S. Senate has advanced Kevin Warsh to become President Trump’s Chairman of the Federal Reserve.
• INFLATION NOW OUTPACING PAYCHECKS
• Inflation jumps to 3.8%, highest increase since 2023, feds report- me- keep in mind that CPI does NOT include gasoline or food. So, real inflation is ten times worse. 

Business and Fundamentals News:

Meat v. Grain Diets

When Europeans switched from hunting and gathering to farming wheat and other grains around 7,000–9,000 years ago, their average height dropped noticeably. Skeletons show that hunter-gatherer men were often around 5’9” tall.

Once they settled down and started eating mostly bread, porridge, and other grain foods instead of meat, fish, and wild plants, men shrank to about 5’3” or 5’4” in many early farming communities.

Life expectancy also fell because the grain-heavy diet was less nutritious and people lived closer together, spreading more diseases.

This same pattern showed up later with the Romans, who ate a lot of wheat from their farms. Roman writers often commented on how much bigger and taller the northern “barbarian” tribes (like the Germans and Scandinavians) were.

Those northern groups still hunted, fished, and ate more meat and dairy, so they stayed taller and stronger.

The difference wasn’t huge everywhere, but the shift to farming clearly made people smaller on average.

Roman history shows emperors commenting on the larger size of the people north of them. Scandinavians, in particular, were giants to the Romans. The Celts and Scottish were too.
