Why was Deadpool, starring box-office-poison Ryan Reynolds, a sleeper hit? Because the studio execs stayed away from it like leprosy. They let the creatives go at it.

It was released in February, clearly indicating the studio exes did not have a clue that it would strike a chord with viewers. The film has earned $760 Million in revenue, so far.

The star, Ryan Reynolds, had failed in previous blockbusters, so the movie was promoted with posters and commercials that left him out of it. I spotted this back in February.

Check it out. It is quite humorous.
