I am not a Republican, per se, and have never idolized Ronald Reagan. He had many flaws. His Reaganomics created the modern globalist corporations that are destroying the fabric of the world and creating huge wealth disparity. Reagan caused the illegal immigration problem because his Chamber of Commerce cronies wanted cheap slave labor. His war on drugs was a joke and led to the CIA, literally, selling crack in California to our own citizens.
However, Reagan does deserve the credit for bringing down the Soviet Union by outspending them. What made Reagan have such a resolve to stare down the Russian Bear?
It started when Reagan was put on the board of the Screen Actors Guild in 1941 and then became president from 1947 to 1960. During this time, he encountered the communism that had metastasized throughout Hollywood. Peter Schweizer wrote a book in 2002 called “Reagan’s War: The Epic Story of His Forty-Year Struggle and Final Triumph Over Communism”. The PBS show “American Experience” covered this as well (video at top).
Starting in the 1930’s, decades after the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution in Russian, the Communist party began infiltrating Hollywood because it saw the power of movies over public opinion. At the time, there was no TV or Internet. People got their news from papers and movie theater short films.
The strategy was to place a few members of the party in high places, then give the perception that a secret communist power controlled more than it actually did. The Communists smartly saw the weaknesses in the Hollywood sheep. Actors and writers are easily controlled by whomever they perceive to be the boss.
In 1946, the Communist party funded a well-organized violent strike by the Screen Actors Guild, led by communist Herb Sorrell. Reagan was the man in charge of negotiating an end to the strike. He saw firsthand the bloody violence the Communists used. He was threatened and started to carry a gun. They called him a fascist, when in fact they were obviously the fascists.
Sound familiar? Today, we have organized BLM and Antifa mobs, funded by American-hating billionaires, like George Soros, Tom Steyer, and others (The DOJ is currently investigating exactly who is doing the funding and organizing.). They are behaving just like the Bolsheviks under Vladimir Lenin from 1917 to 1924 and then Joseph Stalin after him. Tens of millions of Russians were slaughtered. Today, the BLM are also copying Nazi fascists of the 1930’s when they stormed German streets, smashing glass store windows and demanding allegiance.
However, despite BLM and Antifa being the true fascists, they call their opponents fascists. That has always been a strategy of Communists. Nothing has changed.
None of the above is taught in schools. The teachers union is part of the Communist-controlled agenda. Films from Hollywood portray the opposite of the truth, smearing those who decry communism as far-right fascists like evil Joseph McCarthy.
But anyone who seeks to understand the political dynamics of today merely needs to Google “Regan and communism” or read a book like Peter Schweizer’s. It is all there. It is irrefutable.
The Communist party has tried about four times since 1917, by my count, to overthrow this country. It takes advantage of depressed economic conditions to rile of disenfranchised, usually stupid, people to act as their unpaid soldiers. However, because Communism is the party of the weak and stupid, they lack creativity. They are using the same failed playbook from 100-years ago. They are easily recognized. That is the weak link in their armor.
During the SAG labor strikes, Reagan said, “(The communists) do not want a settlement. It stands to gain by continued disorder and disruption.” That is the lesson to be learned. The BLM mobs cannot be rationally negotiated into quiescence. The anarchists must be stomped out with force.
Reagan was anti-working-man, anti-middle-class, and allowed mass illegal immigration. On the other hand, Nixon was one of the greatest presidents for middle-class, working man (i.e OSHA, mine safety, etc.)
After viewing how the democrats have used the intelligence agencies to go after Trump, one could surmise the same was done to Nixon.
Also, whatever Nixon did, it surely cannot compare to the actions of Comey, Hilary, Biden China theft, Strozk, what has been done to Flynn, Brennan, deep state etc…
Greer!
You’ve nailed it again. Your first paragraph says it all …. Not to mention Reagan’s stimulus and the continued financialization of everything, which has seen anyone not invested in the market go backwards in real terms, and the leveraging up of the economy over the past 40 years has transferred significant wealth from Gen X/Y/Z to Boomers
Cheers!
