Peter Thiel, Founders Fund, One Letterman Drive

Dear Mr. Thiel,

I am writing to invite you to participate in our plan to build a better Twitter that does not censor based upon political ideologies. This is not a private equity pitch. We do not seek funding, just your experience.

I have suspected for a long time that something was wrong with my Healthcare Channel Twitter feed @THEHCC. We now know that Twitter “shadow bans” accounts that it views to be conservative or Pro-Trump.

In addition to this unacceptable fascist censorship, Twitter is just designed poorly. There are many ways to improve upon it.

Our goal is to build an open platform “Better Twitter” that anyone can use. The only accounts that will be blocked will be those recruiting for terrorism or promoting imminent violence.

I believe that, if we can get President Trump to be one of the first adopters, this idea will blossom. Making money is not the goal. However, it might turn out to be worth something.

We will avoid all of the tricks used by profit-oriented social media, such as your Facebook and Twitter, that encourage addiction and over usage of the site. Users will not have to constantly scroll as they do with Twitter. Feeds will be better aggregated, more like the news feed on iPhones.

A key feature that will encourage participation by celebrities and influential people who currently avoid Twitter will be the ability to screen readers and timelines based upon whether the other party has gone through an identification verification process. People who are not anonymous behave more civilly.

Please feel free to contact me.

Kind regards,

Steven E. Greer, MD
