I just had a birthday and I am learning things as if I were a toddler. This is the age of transparency where many of the great secrets are becoming exposed. Also, AI lets me get up to speed on complex topics.
I had Grok summarize these 10 books by Aristotle. This was better than years of psychotherapy. I now completely understand who I am and where I fit in with the world.
I figured it out. I am Greek Philosopher like Aristotle or Socrates. I predate Roman culture. Organized religion came after the Greeks during Roman times. Those books describe my views on life.
I have never been someone who believes in organized religion. I think it’s all false prophets at best. It is usually a tool for crimes against humanity. However, I am a man of morals and principles. I believe in higher powers we cannot understand. The universe is infinite and incomprehensible.
The concepts of law originated in Ancient Greece. I don’t understand why modern law uses Latin terms. The Romans did not invent law. Anyway, I am very much a believer in law, and that is why I try to litigate for myself.
My current lifestyle is one that fits with Aristotle. I get great joy out of observing the wildlife and raising ducks. I have no interest in owning a Ferrari. I have a good work ethic, even though I don’t need to work. I stay physically fit and eat well.
The Romans and Christians would call me a pagan. No, I am more like Odysseus (later known as Ulysses).
Footnote: I’m actually more like a Radical Protestant: I despise church frauds. The Epstein files make it clear that a global satanic cult exists and must be opposed by Christianity. That makes me something of a modern Knights Templar too.

I just wrote an essay yesterday where I said that I think my beliefs and views on life are aligned with Greek philosophers. Well, I am going to have to revise that less than a day later.
I saw a story about Governor DeSantis requiring teachers to take various civics courses. I looked into it. The Scottish Enlightenment is what inspired our Founding Fathers. Their beliefs are mine too (and I am Scottish).
Grok:
Main Ideas Taught (Especially Relevant to American Founding):
- Humans have an innate moral faculty to discern good from evil (moral sense theory).
- Self-evident truths accessible to everyone via common sense (Reid’s realism, countering extreme skepticism).
- Society progresses through stages (stadial theory: from primitive to commercial societies).
- Importance of commerce, liberty, and limited government for human flourishing.
- Virtue tied to social bonds, sympathy, and public benefit rather than strict rational calculation alone.
So, my being is really more aligned with these Scottish pioneers, which should be of no surprise since I am related to them.
I am going to tell you something shockingly ignorant:
One of these Scottish philosopher’s is named Reid. My mother’s maiden name is Reid. I have always known my father’s side was Scottish. However, for some reason, I never thought to check into that name Reid. I thought my mother’s side was more English because I have focused on her mother’s side.
Reid is Scottish. So, I am Scottish on both sides. Given that my mother’s side of the family was very academic, I would not be surprised to learn that I am a descendant of that Scottish philosopher Reid.
I am 58 years old and just now learning this.
