BatteryPark.TV endorses Bernie Sanders

Update April 2, 2016- Bernie will win the big state of Wisconsin, which might give him momentum to close the gap in New York. If he wins New York, then Hillary is toast.

BatteryPark.TV endorses Bernie Sanders as the Democratic candidate for President of the United States. Hillary Clinton embodies the corruption of the establishment.

Bill and Hillary Clinton orchestrated the rise of the Too-Big-To-Fail banks, which destroyed the global economy in 2008. The world is still recovering from that, and trillions in bad debts are still festering beneath the surface. Income inequality has never been worse, all thanks to the Clinton administration

How did the Clintons do this? First, they repealed the Glass-Steagall law, which was enacted after the Great Depression of the 1930’s. Glass-Steagall prevented the banks from gambling on high-risk financial instruments. The Gramm-Leach-Blilely bill replaced Glass-Steagall. That allowed the Wall Street banks to become big hedge funds (I worked for Merrill lynch, and we were trading $10 Billion in borrowed money in an internal hedge fund, thanks to Robert Rubin and Clinton. Merrill went belly-up after 2008).

Then, to allow those banks to make obscene money on trading risky derivatives, Clinton got congress to pass the “Commodity Futures Modernization Act”, which banned any regulation of derivatives. This was the last law that the Clintons signed under the cover of night before leaving office on a helicopter, literally.

Now, candidate Hillary has $15 Million in campaign funds from Wall Street banks in her Super PAC. Bernie Sanders pointed this out last night in what was one of the most bizarre “debates” ever (It was called a “town hall”, but the two candidates were not even on stage together. The morning news had to edit the sound bites to make it seem like a real debate).

Hillary Clinton lies so much that it has created a verbal tic. She flinches and her eyes open too wide whenever she speaks. It is her brain calculating every word, making sure the comments do not conflict with her web of lies.

In contrast to “Establishment Hillary”, Bernie Sanders is the unquestionable progressive candidate. He has been outspoken in defense of civil liberties. He was one of the few to be critical of the mass surveillance of U.S. citizens by the NSA. He opposed the idiotic Bush wars, whereas Hillary voted for them in the senate. Bernie opposes the financial establishment, whereas Hillary is funded by it.

The scandals plaguing Hillary Clinton now, such as how she allowed terrorist to kill the American ambassador in Benghazi, Libya, or circumvented the law and used private emails stored in her home server, are the least of our concerns. Hillary will recreate the world of the 1990’s that led to the pathetic state we are all in now.

Most Americans agree with the above, and that is why such an unlikely candidate as Bernie Sanders is doing so well in the primaries. The middle class is fed up and wants reform.
