We learned tonight that Brookfield Properties is the rate limiting step to all of the delays in opening of the various retail and restaurant shops.
For examples, Jose Garces’ restaurant Amada has no idea when they will open because of Brookfield construction delays that are beyond their control. Parm is being delayed because Brookfield is replacing ceiling ducts, and Umami Burger cannot get proper lighting because of “Brookfield unions”.
Ric Clark is the CEO of Brookfield. Shari Hyman is the “landlord” as the president of the BPCA. She reports to chairman and CEO Dennis Mehiel.
