Dear friends and members,

We are happy to report that Community Board 1 representing Lower Manhattan has just unanimously passed a resolution calling for a reduction in the number of sightseeing tours operating out of the Downtown Manhattan Heliport.

In addition, the resolution not only requests that environmental agencies monitor the air quality and noise levels at the heliport, but it also lists the numerous ways in which these tours are in violation of federal and FAA regulations. You can find a copy of the resolution here:  https://www.stopthechopnynj.org/supportive-officials.html.

So, not only do these flights have a negative environmental impact, lower the quality of life for all those living underneath their flight path and pose all-too-real security risks, but they are actually flying illegally.

As you all know, we are now in the process of raising funds for educational and legal initiatives designed to put an end to these needless tours once and for all.  If you’d like to make a tax deductible donation, please go here:  https://www.stopthechopnynj.org/donations.html

Also, if you can distribute flyers, please let us know and we will send some out to you.

Thank you and together we will win!
