Update May 6, 2014-The BPCA board convened a meeting today. For the fourth straight month, board member Fernando Mateo was absent. This coincides with multiple scandals involving Mr. Mateo in the press (see below). At this point, he has clearly been removed from the board, but no official announcement has been made.
Update March 20, 2014– The BPCA board convened a meeting today. For the third straight month, board member Fernando Mateo was absent. This coincides with multiple scandals involving Mr. Mateo in the press (see below).
Update February 21 2014- The BPCA board met on February 18th, and for the second straight month, board member Mateo was absent.
January 28, 2014- For the first time in many years, the usually vocal BPCA board member, Fernando Mateo, was conspicuous absent from the meeting today. There was no mention of the the reason he was absent. recall, Mr. Mateo has been suffering from bad press over the last several months.
