November 29, 2013- Crain’s is reporting, “Demand as much as doubles at NY food pantries: Surge comes in wake of a $5 billion cut in Food Stamps at the beginning of the month. Some facilities cut limits on food they distribute, while others go over budget.”

The sad or angering part of this story is that the global economic depression that caused this unemployment and starvation was caused by Wall Street in our backyard. Not a single Wall Street executive responsible has been jailed.
