According to NYPD sources, a 62-year-old man named Robert Kennedy was found dead in a garden area by the playground across from 1 Bowling Green in the Battery.
A passerby spotted the body at 7:15 AM Thursday. The man was fully clothed, lying face down, and had his belongings on him. The matter is not being treated as a homicide. The medical examiner is assessing the body.
