BatteryPark.TV previously reported on senior management changes within Milford Management (the apartment management company arm of Milstein properties), and that other changes were likely. We have now learned that another veteran of Milford, Ms. Anna Seddio, was ousted. She has now found a new job at a different real estate company, according to a source.
According to multiple sources who live in buildings formerly managed by Ms. Seddio, she was well liked and competent. One source explained that he had heard secondhand that Ms. Seddio was told that she essentially had not future with Milstein Properties.
Many tenants and owners in Milstein Properties buildings are all in the dark about the status of their management company, Milford, and rumors are flying. The consensus rumor is that Daryl Rankin has been brought in to run Milford Management, and that the former head, Steve Rossi, is taking a back seat role. The change in staff at Milford Management is consistent with a new top leader “cleaning house”.
The region of Battery Park City is undergoing massive seismic shifts in real estate and the changes are taking place in rapid fashion. As the housing bubble nears an end, according to many experts, real estate developers are making mad dashes to convert one rental building after the other into condos.
To compete with the newly renovated properties nearby, and entirely new skyscrapers being built in FiDi and Tribeca, Milstein has begun to make minor superficial improvements to some of its buildings. For example, wallpaper in the lobby of one building was hastily replaced shortly after the arrival of Daryl Ranking.
