January 2, 2014- Fernando Mateo, the infamous member of the BPCA board, seemingly constantly in the news for doing bad things, went on the PR offensive. He created a “Red Nose” taxi program to drive home drunks over the holiday season. The taxi drivers were paid handsomely, more than $150 in most cases. Somehow, Mr. Mateo’s team got the big networks to cover his altruistic deeds. The CBS Morning show was one of them.
Look for the BPCA board to praise Mr. Mateo at the next meeting.
