June 2, 2016- No news organization has exposed the scams of the Tribeca Film Festival more than BatteryPark.TV. Now, a blog goes into detail and singles out the Tribeca Film Festival.
Apparently, all film festivals sucker unworthy films into submitting to the contests by making them pay fees. These can translate into hundreds of thousands of dollars for the cash-starved festivals.
But the con is on. They will almost never show the films. The best submissions get fee waivers. This is like the CBS news Payola scandal we reported.
