More ice falls from One World Trade Center, shuts down West Side Highway

Update February 19, 2014More ice problems for the Freedom Tower. This time, ice fell more than a 1,000 feet and blew onto traffic on the West Side Highway. the street was partially closed from the Battery Park underpass northward to Murray.

February 7, 2014- The Daily News reports, “The building’s sloping corners functioned like a ski jump for falling ice. The Port Authority officials shut the PATH station over safety concerns, causing a massive rush hour log jam.”
