Brookfield Place announced to the New York Times the list of names for the new restaurants of the food court being renovated. The new places could be grease pits like one sees at an airport mall, or they could be alright. The list includes Num Pang, Little Muenster, Dos Toros Taqueria (to make be the third Mexican joint on the same block), Chop’t, Sprinkles, Skinny Pizza, Digg Inn, and a Poulakakos-run “market”.
However, some of the restaurants might be better than they seem. Digg Inn could be a small gourmet market. Chop’t could be a good alternative the other salad restaurants. Do Toros could be a nicer version of Chipotle. Also, Num Pang could be the new Asian place that we need, since several Chinese restaurants have closed down. Stay tuned.
The Poulakakos’ are clearly running a scam.
Digg Inn is really good, and affordable–certainly not greasy airport fair. Also a better pizza option should be welcomed here. A pizza place in the neighborhood that attempts healthy is better than the oily sliders or overpriced options we currently have.

Agree. Pardon our snarky-isms. BP.TV is having a bad day.
To Jonathan
Agree, Pardon or negativity. See second paragraph just added.
I don’t think they are “greasy pits,” but I wouldn’t call them “destination dining” as Brookfield hopes it will be according to Times article.

Good point and I agree. I suppose that was my point.
