Manhattan Borough President protests LeFrak plan to demolish historic building

April 7, 2014- The Observer reports that Gale Brewer is calling for changes in the city landmarking process after they were “blindsided” by the LeFrak organization. The Rizzoli bookstore on 57th street was not allowed to be landmarked, and is scheduled to be demolished.
