Progressive Mayor Bloomberg might be close to having New York City become the first city in the U.S. to be powered by turbines that spin on tidal currents. The NY Times is reporting that 30 more turbines might be installed on Roosevelt Island in the East River. BatteryPark.TV thinks that this is very cool indeed.
