The Great Cormorant was closer and in better light today.
….and I shot for the first time the Painted Turtle a saw a few weeks ago. I don’t know if it lives here or walks from lake to lake.It seems to be a pretty large one.

Today, I observed this bird stay under water for more than a minute and swim more than 100-yards before resurfacing. I don’t think the fish supply is too good though. It seemed to catch only sticks.
