If you find a good girlfriend, don’t take her for granted. Likewise, if you find a good restaurant in New York, you are lucky.

I have recently been from coast to coast disappointed with restaurants. Last night, I had a terrible meal at Fowler & Wells. So, for lunch, I went to a reliable place, The Clocktower.

They have a nice $39 prix fixe menu. The best bread in the business started it off, along with a cappuccino that makes most others look lame.

There was a corporate women’s event in the next room. As they got up to join the others, I tried to get one’s attention and say, “You know who you look like….”, but she ignored me. I was going to say Gillian Anderson, the lady from the X-files.

Turns out, it was actually her. So, I was telling her that she looks like herself, and that is why she ignored me. Well, she is blond now, so I was not that stupid.
