I tried out Wei West on Christmas before seeing a moving. I had not been in for years. I ordered the ramen noodle grilled chicken soup, and it was horrible.

To put it in perspective, Wei West could be worse. It could have an unsanitary kitchen with a rat problem. It does not. However, the chefs are just clueless.

The vegetables in my noodle soup were so large that I had to remove them and cut them. A leek was put in pretty much intact. The grilled chicken pieces were also not cut small enough to eat. The noodles were small and unimpressive.

However, the worst part was the overall lack of flavor. The broth was tasteless.

Owner Alan Phillip, who also owns Pick-A-Bagel, has allowed his partners to run Wei West and they are not doing a good job. BPC needs a good Chinese place. Hopefully, the new one coming soon in Hudson Eats will fill the demand.
